About the Vanguard Bariatric Wheelchair
Broda’s Vanguard Bariatric Wheelchair is built to accommodate wheelchair users up to 600 pounds. It combines tilt-in-space functionality, positioning support, and easy maneuverability for everyday care. Its “no-lift” tilt and assisted back recline help relieve seating-related discomfort. The Vanguard Improves seating tolerance, reduces the risk of pressure injuries, and supports better posture, oxygenation, feeding, and overall comfort. By promoting proper positioning, it can also help reduce the need for restraints while providing practical solutions for the unique challenges of bariatric care. The Vanguard is our first WC19 crash tested and certified bariatric chair! The optional WC19 transportation package offers crash-tested components for safer transport without compromising bariatric positioning and comfort.
