The Sales Development Representative ensures that sales targets are met within the designated area or territory. Area Sales Representatives develop a close relationship with all their major accounts to grow business organically and find new business.
Duties of the Sales Development Representative include:
- Finding new customers and constantly expanding the business.
- Monitoring sales data and current market trends and customer needs.
- First class consultative sales skills. Good understanding of Features and Benefits.
- Identify and create a strong loyal relationship with all decision makers.
- Monitor sales and profit for each account.
- Preparing account profiles for company accounts.
- Using analysis to ensure top accounts giving 80% of the business are not lost and grow.
- Ability to complete management reports on time essential.
- Aware of applicable company goals and business plan.
- Be aware of all competitive activities within major accounts.
- Good and disciplined use of CRM and administration.
- Sales presentations for clients showing the success and credibility of the wheelchairs.
- Give pricing information to management and make recommendations.
- Establishing and maintaining relationships with suppliers if appropriate.
- Create sales strategies for sales manager/ director to approve
Requirements for the role:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Sales experience essential.
- Demonstrable and successful sales track record
- Strong presentation skills and a good technical background in the product area
- Proven record of effectively meeting sales quotas
- Ability to motivate others to action.
- 80% travel
Helpful additions:
- Background in seating and mobility
- Exposure to sales in Post-Acute Care
- Experience with Complex Rehab Wheelchairs
- General working knowledge of wheelchair reimbursement options
Qualifications. The following are qualifications that are necessary for a person to be considered for this position:
- Proven account management or other relevant sales experience of 2+ years
- Experience in delivering client-focused solutions based on customer needs
- Ability to multi-task and to manage multiple projects simultaneously with good attention to detail
- Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Self-motivated and able to thrive in a results-driven environment
- Natural relationship builder with integrity, reliability, and maturity
